Madison County, IL has developed an extensive trail system consisting of approximately 90 miles of trails.

The Trails are being developed and maintained by Madison Count Transit, and provide an excellent avenue for transportation by bicycle as well as a great recreational experience.

Most trails are paved with asphalt  with striped lanes, but some are finely crushed limestone gravel.
